Lewis American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hey Everyone! Lewis here! I am a 1 1/2 year old neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier mix looking for a new amazing family to love. Back on 3/02/14, I managed to get myself lost, and a stranger brought me to the shelter. My previous owner didn't think about looking for me here, so it is now time for me to find a new home. I am super sweet and I love to cuddle. Sometimes I gently jump up on people to give them a hug and a kiss, and to make it easier for them to hug me back and to scratch my gorgeous, soft as velvet coat. This behavior evidently isn't always appreciated, so I have a lot to learn about being more polite. I am a wonderful dog that just needs some guidance, which is why I will need a home without children. As part of my adoption process, you will need to take me to formal obedience training to make sure that I will always be a well-behaved and loved member of your family. Boy, am I ever looking forward to that! I have heard that I will get lots of treats and that you are sure to smile when I do everything right. I do have to admit that I pull on leash, but the longer you have me walking with you the more polite I become. I think we should start practicing perfect leash manners right away. I love long walks, and I have the will to someday become an amazing jogging partner for you. I am energetic, but I settle down quite nicely when I am alone in my kennel day-dreaming about once again having a family to love me every day and forever. Before you adopt me, please check with your landlord and renter's insurance company or your homeowner's insurance company to make sure that they do not discriminate against my breed.
