Arrival story: Korie was found as a stray and waiting impatiently to be sprung from a downriver shelter. Poor baby had heart worm and needed rescue fast so she could be treated. Waggin Tails couldn't resist her adorable face and pleas for help so she was sprung and brought into foster care.



Personality: This brindle beauty is just as beautiful on the inside. Korie is sweet and affectionate, friendly and silly. She adores people and loves to be cuddled. She also has a silly side and will play bow and spin in circles when she wants to play. She's a good listener and appears fascinated with whatever her people have to say. With a tilted head, perked ears and direct eye contact, she's irresistibly adorable. Korie has also mastered the art of many different vocalizations. She can still do that cute puppy whimper moan when she wants something. She has a cute little snort snore when you rub her ears. She will also sing while getting her picture taken when she'd rather be doing anything but getting her picture taken. This sweet girl has a lot of personality and charm. She also gets along well with other dogs but is shy at first and needs a little time to warm up. She does well with the three resident dogs she is currently living with. Korie also loves to relax and hunker down with a good chew bone in the evening. She'll make a wonderful companion and addition to the family.

Forever home: Korie would probably do well in a variety of family situations. She hasn't been around children but has a nice temperament and disposition toward people. We don't know how she is with cats. Korie would like a family who gives lots of love and affection because she has a lot of it to give in return.

Korie won't be ready for adoption until the beginning of April. She is finished with her heart worm treatment but has not yet been spayed. She's definitely up for some meets and greets with her potential family in the meantime so if you think Korie could be your girl, please contact us.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs (9 years +) , $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue does not have a shelter facility. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website at www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted. This application does not imply an obligation to adopt by the applicant or by the rescue group.
