What can we say about Mr. Maxxi other than he is absolutely DELICIOUS? Just 7 months old, Maxxi was surrendered to DRC when his former owners realized that they had bitten off more than they could chew when they decided to add a boisterous, high energy doodle puppy to their family.

Maxxi is a sweet, loving and generally well-mannered pup who loves to please and stick close to his people. Like all puppies, Maxxi will need tons of exercise, playtime, additional training, and everything else that young, healthy, energetic doodle pups require. He loves human attention and affection, thrives on praise and is a very smart boy who learns quickly. He loves to play with other dogs, loves car rides, playing ball, walks and after a good workout he loves to snuggle up close to his people.

Already 55 lbs. at 7 months, we estimate Maxxi will be a big boy between 70-80 lbs. once he matures. He would do best either as an only dog providing at least one person from his adoptive family are at home for most of the day, or in a home with another well-mannered dog close to his age, size and energy level for company. Maxxi has quite the strong personality and will need an active, dog savvy family willing to continue with his training and socialization. He will also need a fenced in yard. Maxxi is neutered, micro-chipped, UTD on all vaccines and preventatives and will be a wonderful companion for the right person or family.

DRC ADOPTION POLICIES

DRC Inc. has adoption requirements and policies in place to ensure the safety, well-being and appropriate home placement of every doodle dog in our program.
Adorable as they may be and in spite of the hype, doodles ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE! They are highly intelligent, active, emotional, high maintenance dogs that require special attention, care and the serious commitment of an experienced dog owner.

Consequently, DRC does not typically adopt to first time dog owners, families with children under 10 years of age or those not experienced with the needs of large sporting dogs that have extensive grooming and exercise requirements.

Please read through our policies and be certain that your home environment and lifestyle are both compatible with, and appropriate for a doodle BEFORE you apply.

In many and most cases, a PHYSICAL FENCE IS REQUIRED in order to be considered for a DRC rescue doodle.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $250 - $500 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility. NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants, before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
