Cora Smooth Fox Terrier Mix Libertyville, IL

This petite girl will absolutely be your best friend! Who is Cora? Cora came to Placing Paws after being found by one of our amazing volunteers in the northern suburbs. She was skinny, cold and unclaimed after her stray hold. She is guessed to be between 7 and 9 mos old and weighs about 25 pounds. She is phenomenal with other dogs (she holds her own with a 70lb shepherd and 50lb boxer/pit mix) and she ignores cats. She’s a champion snuggler, knows sit and come and learns VERY quickly. She has absolutely no food aggression (with humans or other dogs) and takes treats as gently as can be. She’s crate trained (during the day) and only barks to let you know she’s excited to see you upon your arrival home! She is NOT a barker outside, which is a huge plus! She will let you know when she has to go potty outside. She bonds very quickly with humans and canines and really wants to please; Cora will literally give you a hug! She is affectionately called “Busy” by her foster mom because when she first came into their home, she investigated everything going on. Foster mom looked at her and simply said “you are very busy”. She has since settled into the pack, she knows her name and responds very well to it. Don’t let her name confuse you…she is NOT hyper in any way! She’s a typical puppy that likes to check things out. She is a sweet as they come and she is grateful for her second chance. She truly is the best little girl and will be terribly missed by her foster family…but finding the perfect home for her will give another soul the opportunity to be saved! ADOPTION FEE: $350.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
