Honey Bear ... or Bear for short ... is a 6-year-old male Maltipoo who weighs 12 lbs. Honey Bear might seem a funny name; then you remember that his namesake, Winnie the Pooh, was a gentle honey bear boy -- humble and wise, a little mischievous, curious yet cautious, and very understated!

Honey Bear loves being with his Foster Dad, he follows him from room to room in the house, will lie next to him on the couch, and likes to snuggle up next to him in bed. He loves playing keep away with his small toy - meaning he keeps it away from his Foster Dad! He also loves to ride in the basket of a bike or a car. Car rides are one of his favorite things!

Honey Bear is house-trained, crate trained and leash trained. He also responds to commands. Sadly, Honey Bear has been through a lot in his 5 years, resulting in some insecurity. He has done so well in his foster home, constantly learning new things. He is looking for a very special adopter who is willing to invest time with him so that he can continue to gain more confidence. He would do best in a home with no small children, with an experienced dog owner. While he is waiting for his perfect forever home, Honey Bear is learning new things each and every day.

Honey Bear is neutered current on all vaccinations and micro chipped. He is being fostered in Southern California. Applications are being accepted for his adoption!
