Meet Frankie

Hi I'm Frankie and I am a 1 year old Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher mix. I weigh a little over 13 lbs but I am on the skinny side and should put on a few pounds. I have long, slender legs that I can fold in many ways to fit on your lap, or to sit behind you on the couch. I can jump like a pogo stick! When I get excited I hope around all over.

I have only been in my foster home a short time, but I have made myself quite comfortable and love to follow my foster mom around everywhere she goes. My favorite thing to do is curl up on a nice, warm lap and fall asleep. I am house trained too but I don't LOVE the ice and snow. My FAVORITE game is fetch and I prefer a nice tennis ball over any other toy! I am in a foster home with two cats and a small puppy and I am certain that I am the most well behaved of all of them! (please don't tell them I said that)
I am the perfect combination of a lap dog and companion with the playfulness of a puppy, but much more well behaved than your average puppy! I have overheard my foster family saying I look like Santa's little helper from the Simpson's.

Foster Mom Update: I have learned a lot about Frankie in the past week. I have seen what an amazing companion he is. He is super loving and affectionate. He is still a young boy and needs boundaries set with him.He is willing and eager to make you happy. He loves so much he gets protective. Can you blame him? Anyone willing to put the time and effort into this little guy will be sure to have the most loyal dog around. He does much better being gated off, rather than crated. He has not chewed anything inappropriate and is extremely smart. He would definitely benefit with continued training. All he needs is stability, patience and a warm lap.
