Meet Maggie

Maggie has adjusted well to her foster home and her little personality is shining through She is sweet and lovable with her human family (2 adults)
.
She loves to play with her squeaky toys and her Kong and has some very funny antics.
She is a great little buddy!

Maggie is housebreaken but has the occasional accident . She loves to go for walks but goes on a pee pad when it's snowy or very cold outside.

Maggie is wary of strangers and will bark and nip when approached. But
as long as people let Maggie approach when she is ready, all is fine.
She gets long very well with the 5 lb. female chi in her foster home, but Maggie is definitely the boss. Even after 3 months, Maggie does not get along with the
other dog in her foster home who is 14 lbs. She would do well as an only dog or in a home with another small chihuahua.
Maggie has some separation anxiety which has improved greatly. She
would do best in a home where she will not be alone for more than 4 or 5 hours.

Maggie is a special needs dog with irritable bowel disease (IBD). IBD in dogs is chronic, as it is in people. She will be on a maintenance dose of an antibiotic - Tylan powder (1/16 tsp - 2x/day) and dry prescription dog food which cost about $12/month.

Whoever adopts Maggie will be extremely lucky. She will be a loving and loyal companion for years to come
and a joy to have!
