Maya Chow Chow East Hartford, CT

Maya is a beautiful purebred Chow Chow. Maya is a senior lady, she's 10 years old and weighs 47 lbs. Please don't let her age scare you off. She's got lots more love to give. They typically live to about 14 years old and even older when they are well cared for, which she was. The vet said she's in great shape! Maya has definitely known love in her life. Maya is typical of the breed, independent. She's not a lap dog or very affectionate. However, she does love a good scratching. She will lay her head in your lap for a good head scratch and when she's had enough she will go about her business. Maya absolutely loves to go for walks and being outside. She's thoroughly enjoyed the snow we've had. She's not a needy dog but does like being with her family. It would be great to have Maya go to a family that knows and understands the breed. She does need grooming. She was groomed recently and looks gorgeous. In the summer time she's been shaved down so she's comfortable in the heat. Maya has shown no interest in dogs, cats, or kids.
