Meet Louie

Louie is an adult male Wire Fox Terrier who, after four to six years of life, is 100 percent baffled at how he might have ended up in a rescue situation. This fellow was clearly, until quite recently, a loved and well-cared for family member. When he arrived at Saving Grace he had been recently groomed, and he is at an almost perfect weight at approximately 20 pounds. Louie has a very handsome, long narrow face and his rough wiry coat is primarily white with dark-gray/black spots. He is sweet, calm, and a bit reserved when he meets strangers, although he is appreciative of any kindness and attention that he might receive. He has excellent crate manners and walks nicely on a leash. He is obviously extremely smart; his short flopped ears prick up with interest at the activities going on around him and his eyes shine with intelligence. Although he has adapted to life at Saving Grace, he does not enjoy the loud noise and hustle and bustle of life with so many other dogs. He is expected to do well as an only dog, but would certainly not mind a quiet canine sibling or two. Louie would love to find a calm, laid-back home as soon as possible, and is hoping that his REAL forever family will choose him soon. If interested in meeting Louie, please email an application to Saving Grace. He is available for an adoption fee of $300 that includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and prevention. He is heartworm negative and on frontline for fleas and ticks.

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee.

The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
