Bella Dutch Shepherd & Retriever Mix Minneapolis, MN

Bella is a sweet, joyful pup. She is estimated to be 7.5 months old and weighs 35 pounds. We guess her breed to be a Dutch shepherd mix. She was born blind, but that does not slow her down. She is currently being fostered in a home with several other dogs and enjoys romping and roughhousing with them. She has no problem navigating around the house and if you watched her, you wouldn't guess she can't see. She is truly fearless! Bella went to the dog park for the first time and LOVED it! Bella is paper trained and quickly learning to do her business outside. She can sniff out and find her potty pads, even in an unfamiliar house. She is able to navigate stairs in 6-7 series. A second level of stairs is still a challenge. Bella is working on basic commands and attending training classes. When left alone, she stays in a crate or baby gated in a room. She sleeps in a crate at night. Bella is curious about cats, but leaves them alone for the most part. When visiting new places she is confident and aware.

All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom & dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
