Meet Duncan

Good With Kids: Yes, great family dog!
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: Yes. They don't bother me.
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Pulls but loves walks!
Knows Basic Commands: Basic, yes.
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): In between couch potato and moderate
Special needs: None

Arrival story: I spent time at the Ionia County Animal Shelter where everyone loved me but I needed a Waggin Tails foster home so I could be treated for heartworm disease, get up-to-date on vaccines and get neutered..

Approximate age / weight: 6-7 years old and 35 lbs.

Personality: : I am a VERY sweet, easy going boy (really I mean it… I'm incredibly laid back) that loves to snuggle with my foster parents, chew on bones, sniff their cats and go outside, especially for a walk!

I am crate trained and have very respectful house manners, I don't chew on anything other my toys and bones and am 100% house trained. I know some basic commands and am eager to please. I do have a "nose to the ground" mentality therefore needing a fenced in yard, but am affectionate and enjoy being with people!

I do well in the car and don't mind going to doggie daycare either!

Forever home: I will do well in many situations, I just ask for a fenced in yard, and maybe a pillow when I sleep, I'm constantly being woken up by laughter as I like to sleep with my head propped up. I can't wait to find my forever home and play and relax with my new family!

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com for more info on adopting me!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
