Bullet Black Labrador Retriever Mix Egg Harbor City, NJ

Bullet is a 2 1/2 y/o lab mix who weighs about 40 lbs. He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and has been on year round heartworm prevention. He gets along well with other dogs, large and small and doesn't seem to mind cats. He knows some basic commands and is very focused. Bullet loves to go for car rides and walks, especially in the woods where he can be off-leash. He is very good about staying right with you and if he gets a little too far ahead, he will come back as soon as he's called. He has gone out for a run while I've ridden my 4 wheeler and he just doesn't seem to tire. He's even gone out with us when we've been horseback riding and he had a great time. He is very athletic and would probably be great at agility. Bullet does have some separation anxiety and shows signs of anxiety when there is too much going on around him. A somewhat quiet home with someone who is on the active side and maybe works from home would be ideal for this boy.
Bullet's first 9 months of life were not ideal. He was rescued from an abusive situation by a good samaritan, but unfortunately, his rescuer couldn't afford to keep him for long so he was turned over to a Shelter in NE PA. The Shelter was very stressful for Bullet and within a few days of confinement he was spending his days spinning in circles, trying to catch his tail and mouthing himself. Thankfully, he was rescued from that situation before the shelter decided to put him down. Bullet is a really sweet dog and deserves to have the chance to prove himself. He has a lot of potential and will really blossom if someone will take the time to work with him.
