Kiwi - AWESOME CAT! Calico & Domestic Short Hair Mix La Grange Highlands, IL

This absolutely beautiful little girl (like a living painting) is one of the best cats we have ever had in the program and keeps getting overlooked for kittens (as it is now kitten season). She is only about a year old and is a wonderful, no issue cat. Kiwi gets along with everyone and everything, even two rowdy pups her Foster Mom had in the home for a few weeks. She came from an overburdened shelter when her time was up (after she gave birth to her kitties, was an awesome Mama, and her babies were adopted - she was left to languish, sadly) and the shelter folks begged us to take her. The employees even pooled their money to get her vetted for the chance at a new life. From the minute she came to her foster home, Kiwi has nothing but a pleasure. She gets along famously with her Foster Brother Cat (5 year old male), and all the visitors who have come. It sort of depends on the person, but she may need a few minutes to warm up and make sure you will be kind to her. Once she knows this, she is your friend for life. Kiwi loves to be where her person is, but is not smothering. She loves being with her Foster Mom while she paints, draws and reads. She is even cool with being picked up (rare in cats). This little sprite embraces every new day with happiness and kisses - running to and rolling and purring on her person each morning. She is overall a gentle, quiet girl, but does have playful, very silly moments; and she loves playing chase with her Foster Brother. She loves EVERY toy in the toy basket!
