Rollo Cairn Terrier & Border Terrier Mix Libertyville, IL

Rollo is a 4 to 5 month-old puppy who was found eating garbage in the streets of China. Yes, you read that right, China! He was picked up by an American there teaching English and taken to the vet. He was healthy and received his vaccinations in China. Her mother went to China in December to bring back Rollo and another dog.

Rollo is an adorable and very intelligent puppy. He seems to have non-allergic fur, and he is a small dog. He already is housebroken (if he is taken out regularly) and knows to get his chew toys when the urge arises. He is crate-trained. He is a delightful pup. While he loves to rough-house with other dogs, he also just loves to lie on laps or sleep at your feet.

He is a terrier (we guess he is a Cairn terrier and border terrier mix), and he will need someone who will work with him on obedience training like all puppies need. He already knows sit and leave it and is working on down and stay. He is very eager to please! He gets along with cats and likes kids. Because of his age and breed, he would probably be best in a family with kids over the age of 8, unless it's a very dog-savvy family.

His adoption fee of $350 includes neutering and he is up-to-date on all vaccinations and his rabies shot. Rollo really is a perfect puppy!!BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy.

SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery.

ADOPTION FEE: $350.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
