Meet Queen

Queen is a 2 year old Border Collie/Heeler or Aussie mix that came in as a stray. She spent 7 months in a foster home in Missouri where she learned lots of manners. She has now been rescued by Placing Paws and has adapted wonderfully to her new foster home including another dog, cats and children. She loves to run, run, run but she also knows how to settle down when told and when in the house. . She gets very happy and vocal at playtime and loves to chase a ball. She can also be very mellow and just sit in your lap while watching TV sneaking in doggy kisses whenever she can. She is a very sweet girl who is completely housebroken. She doesn’t care for her crate but she has proven to her foster mom that she can be trusted out of the crate during the day as well as through the night. Queen is a bit shy and timid when meeting new people but once you give her the chance she settles right in. She is a bit cautious around very playful dogs and would probably do best in a home with a more mild mannered dog. Because she likes to run, she probably would be better in a home with older children that she won’t chase. She is oblivious to the cats and would do fine in any cat friendly home. She is such a friendly, petite girl who deserves to have a place that she can finally call home.

ADOPTION FEE: $300.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
