Chamois (Shammy) is a 1 year old Australian cattle dog/Australian shepherd mix.
Chamois has plenty of energy and spunk.She loves Belly Rubs!!!
She gets along with a whole group of dogs and loves to play. Around people she doesn't know she is shy and timid. Would do fine around school age and older children .
Feel she Needs a fenced yard :She does not try to defy boundary fences, even three foot and four foot ones, even while watching our Aussie do it right in front of her; but Unsure without a fence because of here timidness.
Shammy WILL counter surf, every chance she gets, and not just for food, for anything she can reach. Seldom does she tear it up, or destroy it, she just likes to get things and drop things and drop them in another room.
Shammy is NOT good with cats; geese or ducks. The best way I know to describe it is, she will be okay around them, then suddenly jump up and Pursue them, like a dog after a rabbit. Not in a good way. Not sure what she would do if she catches them.
