Hi! My name is Faith. I am charming, gorgeous, independent, super smart, and I love to hang out with my people here at the animal shelter. I enjoy going for walks and learning obedience and sometimes I play fetch. I am a great dog that has some problems - not because I am a bad dog, but because I was left chained up for a long time. Being a herding breed, and of an independent nature, I was a dog with no way to exercise my mind or relieve my body of tension. I began to have what is called barrier or boundary frustration. Repeatedly being aroused and being stopped short by the chain. The small area I had access to and the few possessions I had in that area became very important to me and I sometimes have guarded them to varying degrees. I have made some progress, but still require an understanding owner that is willing to learn my program and work with me.

The best home for me would be with an experienced dog owner, no young children, and probably the only dog. I must get daily physical and mental exercise. I do not do well with cats. If you are interested in learning more about me, please ask!


Upon adoption this dog will be spayed/neutered, brought UTD on vaccinations and tested for heartworms.
