Health: . Ozzie has arthritis but does well on supplements. He also has the beginning of cataracts but no recommendation of any treatment at this stage.

Temperament:.He is a sweet mild mannered senior gentleman.

My Ideal Home: . Ozzie is a senior Chin who has been displaced several times thru no fault of his own. It is now time for him to have a quiet and stable forever home where he can spend his retirement. Ozzie would like a home with adults who are home most of the time and would enjoy spending time with him. He gets along well with other small gentle friendly dogs. Ozzie will adapt well to a new situation given a bit of time and patience to learn the new routines. He is reliably house trained and responds to the call "Let's go potty" Oz is crate trained and will go into his crate to eat but wants to come back out as soon as he is finished eating. He will also sleep in a crate when lights are out but he will fuss if he is crated and sees activity around him unless you drape a cover over his crate. Mostly Oz just enjoys being with his people and prefers to use the crate when he chooses.

If you aren’t ready to adopt yet but would like to help this dog, please click on the purple SPONSOR ME button above the name. Your donation will help us to pay for the care of this dog until he/she finds a furever home.

JCCARE also maintains the lives of many senior and special needs Chin in our Sanctuary program. These dogs are not listed on petfinder, as their health issues make them unlikely to ever be adopted.
