Lennox is an amazing, super fun dog! She’s very smart and has already mastered many obedience skills and fun party tricks including sit, down, wait, shake, play dead, touch, drop-it, and go to bed. She loves to learn and catches on to new things very quickly with positive reinforcement training. She loves to work and please you, so she’d really love to have a family that is as excited about learning new things as she is. She’s also a very active girl who LOVES to play, play, play! She does great with other dogs that can match her energy and she adores toys. Her favorite games include tug, fetch, and she's also a fan of "herding" large balls around outside. This girl is also a huge water lover and will dive into the pool after balls all day long. When it’s time to settle down, Lennox is also a great cuddle bug or if you prefer your own space, she loves to chill in her crate, too.

Lennox’s one area of difficulty is when she meets new people. When we got her from Gwinnett County Animal Control in November 2013, they estimated she was about 6 months old. She obviously didn’t have the best experience in those formative months, because her people skills could use some work. When she first meets people she will bark and sometimes growl, and she also tends to jump up a lot. For these reasons, she probably isn't suited for a home with young children as she could knock them over. After a few minutes of staying calm and giving her some yummy treats, though, she will warm up to you and once she knows you’re ok, she’s your friend for life. Her foster home has been working with her on this particular issue and with some time and training, we hope she’ll learn how to be a bit more polite and calm in social situations.

Lennox is brimming with potential. Ideally, she would like to find a home that is very active, has a tall fenced in yard (Lennox has impressive acrobatic skills and could easily clear a 4 foot fence if she wanted) and wants to continue her training. She would be an amazing dog for dog sports like agility, herding, or dock diving if her new home was willing to help her overcome her social issues. This fun-loving girl has a lot to give--call to set up a time to meet Lennox!
