Georgie Border Collie & Golden Retriever Mix Mount Juliet, TN

Georgie was brought in with Fawn (listed on petfinder). Their owner moved and could no longer keep them. Georgie is a little nervous, but once he and Fawn are together they are both outgoing and very sweet. We would like to keep Fawn and Georgie together in a new forever home since they are so attached to eachother. Georgie is 3 years old. Two Peas in a Pod!!! Georgie is a 3 year old male Golden Retriever/Collie mix that is neutered. Fawn is a 1 year old Pharaoh hound mix that is spayed. Both are current on vaccines, very healthy and full of spunk. These two sweethearts came in after weary travels with their human who had moved several times. He was about to move again and decided it was not fair to them, and that they needed a permanent home.
Because of the instability in their lives, they have each handled it differently. Georgie is super outgoing, and cannot meet a stranger. He will entertain himself with a squeak toy for hours, but would much rather play with Fawn and show her things will be just fine. He enjoys running laps around her until she joins in or he will bring toys to her to show her what they do. He is quite a character to watch how he caters to his love of his life. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to please her. He is the goofy, carefree boy of the relationship.
Fawn is a little more introverted, as she has yet to figure out what her and Georgie’s future holds. She will hesitate until she knows a human than opens up into a beautiful dog. The transformation is like watching a caterpillar burst its wings into a butterfly as you see her eyes brighten, her face relax, and if you’re lucky she will even smile at you with her lips curled and tail wagging just a bit.
These two will ONLY be adopted together as they live, sleep, eat, and breathe for each other. If you were to adopt them, they would need a human willing to take the time and patience with Fawn, as well as have the energy for Georgie.
Their adoption fee is half the cost of other pets in our shelter, as they would be “Special” Adoption.
The total cost for adoption of both Georgie and Fawn together is $75.00 (ask an Animal Control Officer about the Adoption process, if interested). Thank you for considering Georgie and Fawn.
