To learn more, please visit www.fcianimals.org. Riley is a seven year old neutered male toy poodle who was found as a stray emaciated from a severe flea infestation. As if that wasn't challenging enough he was blind, but the ophthalmologist determined he was a candidate for cataract surgery and now Riley has vision again! (He will need eye drops to control dry eye life long). He becomes bonded very quickly and enjoys being held. He does enjoy attention. Riley has a lot of affection to give and loves sleeping cuddled up on a pillow in bed, or falling asleep on the lap of his special person. He will be your shadow. He accepts cats and dogs and is housebroken. If Riley sees an empty lap, he will jump right in and make himself comfortable! Riley is ready for his forever loving home.
We suggest a home with children over the age of 10 for this dog. This dog cannot be adopted out of state. Please see our home page for a list of our Saturday adoption sites. Every potential adopter is required to fill out an adoption application and the dog is placed in the home that would be most suitable for the dog. We do not place our dogs in homes with unfenced swimming pools. Generally we don't release the dogs at the adoption site that day except on occasion to former adopters.
