Blu Husky & German Shepherd Dog Mix Northville, MI

Arrival story: A nice lady found me in the city and knew I needed help so here I am with Waggin’ Tails awaiting a family to call my very own.

Approximate age / Weight: 4 years old and 70 lbs.

Personality: I am a good boy with a silly, playful side. People comment all the time on how unique I am. I have gorgeous blue eyes and a long nose and lanky body with long legs, and I’ve even got a couple spots on my tongue! The volunteers cannot agree on my breed mix. I may be a collie/shepherd/husky/Catahoula mix? Just call me an All American Mutt!

I do need to work on my manners as I like to jump up sometimes, but I do know some basic commands. I even have a good “Watch Me” command that just needs a bit of practice to perfect. I tend to guard my toys, so a home with experienced dog parents and no children is best for me. I am food motivated, which will make training me fun. A good, long walk is enjoyable. My leash skills could use some work.

I am affectionate and really do enjoy being with people. I am a good boy at the vet’s office and riding in a car. I am house-trained and have good house manners, as well.

Forever home: I would do best in home without children and with experienced humans, as I sometimes like to keep my toys and my Kong to myself. I’d like a nice backyard to romp in, stretch my long legs, and play with my new family.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
