Betty Great Dane Mix Stamford, CT

Poor Betty is back after 4 years! Betty is a 6-year-old Great Dane mix originally adopted from Stamford Animal Control.

Through tears, Betty's owner told the Shelter that Betty is an absolutely wonderful dog and asked us to take great care of her. She is very sweet with everyone she meets, but would do best with older children because of her size. She is a bit skittish with fast movements, as she had been abused before she was adopted from Stamford Animal Control 4 years ago.

Betty was surrendered because her owner moved and the new landlord had a dog that did not get along with Betty. Her owner could not afford to move elsewhere. She already is suffering in the Shelter after just two days, constantly shaking and very scared, but she perks right up when people walk by. You can tell she is just dying to be loved.

Poor girl, not fair for her to be here again! She would prefer a home without dogs.
