Did You Adopt Gilly?

Meet Gilly

Gilly was stuck on an island in the middle of the Chippewa River. With the help of quite a few people including our Humane Officer, Gilly was rescued from the little river island. She was not claimed so she is now starting her search for the perfect pet parent.

We think Gilly is about 5 years old and could be a Shepherd and Blue Heeler mix, but she would be a great candidate for a Breed Ancestry Test. (These tests can be purchased at our shelter if you are curious.)

Gilly has received her vaccinations at the shelter, but before going home she will need to be spayed. Sometimes she gets a bit nervous when you grab for her collar, but by giving her a treat while you gently take her collar you can change her opinion of this necessary action into a positive experience.

We also do not want Gilly to end up on another island so keeping her safe on a leash or fenced enclosure is important. This little lady is definitely a sweetheart and we are excited for her to find a family!
