Gale Miniature Pinscher & Chihuahua Mix San Diego, CA

Gale and Peeta are quite the inseparable pair! For those avid Hunger Games fans out there, you can appreciate the paradoxical humor in their friendship. We rescued Gale and Peeta from San Bernardino County in September from an unthinkable fate. The two were together then, and they certainly spend every waking and sleeping moment together now at TBL. They truly are two peas in a pod. Gale and Peeta are both on the timid side, but it certainly doesn’t detract from their “cuddlebility”. Their petite size and soft disposition makes it hard to resist scooping them up and snuggling them against your cheek – sometimes we do both at the same time, one for each cheek! Gale has a short and sleek black coat that will be extremely easy to groom for those who don’t wish to spend too much time at the groomers. He has a slightly stockier build than his best friend, and adorable bat-like ears. You can’t look into Gale’s protuberant puppy eyes without melting a little inside! He has a gentle, soft, and even-tempered personality, and is a very quiet boy. In fact, we have still yet to hear him make a peep. This little pint-sized pup only weighs in at about 5 pounds, so he would make an easy travel companion. Gale is already perfectly potty trained, and gets along wonderfully with cats and even other dogs 10 times his own size. At roughly 1 year of age, he still has a lifetime of affection to give to a forever family. Gale and Peeta would make wonderful buddies for anyone looking to adopt a pair of best friends together, but we are confident they would also thrive on their own.
