Rosie was on the euthanasia list the first of August.  She had been up for adoption at MCACC but she got sick and went straight to the Elist.  We pulled off of that and saved her life.  She has been in a foster home for two months and is now over her ailments and a happy girl.  She is ready to go to her new home.
She is about 8 years old and a fairly laid back dog.  She walks fairly well on a leash, is house and doggie door  trained and has gotten along with a giant/wolfhound mix who is a male.  He has a little too much energy for Rosie.  She would be happier with an dog a little older than three who is wired to the gills.  She has the frame of a mini but the size of a standard schnauzer.  I know there are smaller standard schnauzers here in the Valley so she could be a pure bred. But because she was a stray at County, we don't know.   She has lost a little weight and could lose a little more.  She loves everyone that she has met but hasn't been around kids or cats.  But she passed her evaluation at County.
She let's you know she's happy to see you come home as she barks a couple times and hops like a little bunny in greeting. She is a sweet girl who  has lots of life and love to give.
Rosie's adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in this sweet girl, please email us phxgsrescue@hotmail.com Applications in the immediate area are given preference and you need to be within driving distance to come and pick up a dog. We do not ship our dogs. When you adopt a dog from us and for some reason it doesn't work, the dog be returned to VSGSR and a full refund is given with in the first thirty days. Any dog adopted from us at any time comes back to Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue if the adopter can not keep the dog. We are responsible for our dogs for their lifetime. And we hope our adopters are also. Each dog will have been neutered, had full panel blood tests done, been microchipped and up to date on all of his shots. We do prefer that you be within driving distance of Phoenix to adopt one of our dogs. If the adoption doesn't work out for some reason with in the first thirty days, the adoption fee is refunded upon return of the dog. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life. If interested, please email us at phxgsrescue@hotmail.com for more information. Emailing is the best way to contact us as we are all volunteers.
