Karla Retriever Mix Minneapolis, MN

Karla is a sweet, beautiful girl. Karla does really well with other dogs of all sizes and ages and would prefer that her forever home have another dog. Karla's favorite past times are playing chase and wrestling with her doggie buddies and chasing a tennis ball with her foster mom. Karla is a shy girl and will need a family that is patient in earning her trust, but once she warms up to you, she is very affectionate. Karla gives the best snuggles and kisses! Karla sleeps with her foster mom at night, but is also perfectly happy sleeping on the sofa or a dog bed. Karla is left out in the house when her foster mom leaves and hasn't been destructive or had accidents. She is not a barker and is house trained. Karla has been working on leash training and has made a lot of progress, but still is not comfortable going potty on a leash. She would fit best with a home with a fenced back yard for this reason. Karla is estimated to be 1-2 years old and weighs about 28 pounds.

Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are guessing on breed.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday August 9th, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse at 783 Harding St. NE., Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
