My name is Missy! I'm a 6 yr old tabby cat and I could really use your help. I used to be part of a great family who loved me very much; I was a happy cat with a good life! But then one of the children in my family developed severe allergies to me and they had to bring me to the Shelter. Now I'm confused and sad and depressed and it's affecting my behavior. Sometimes I hide unde the blankets and won't come out and sometimes I swat at volunteers. They play with me (my favorite toys have feathers!) and give me treats and I come out of my shell and purr - but then I remember I'm not in a real home and get depressed again. I really just want to be part of a family again. I've never met a dog, but I think I could handle one that's gentle and cat-savvy. I'm only six year old, I'm litterbox-trained and spayed and up-to-date with all my shots. I'm gorgeous, too - just look at my big beautiful eyes! I'm dreaming of that special someone who will understand my current emotional state and will give me a chance to be happy again - could it be you?
