Hanna German Shepherd Dog Nahant, MA

This is Hanna. Hanna is a 6 year old female with a beautiful plush black and red coat. She is a sweet girl looking for a new home.
Hanna currently lives with cats and did great our test cat as well. With proper introductions and supervision, she should be able to live with a dog-savvy kitty. She also lives with a small breed dog, but they are mostly kept separate because Hanna plays to rough for the little one. We believe she will do best as the only dog in the home, at least initially. With dedicated training, she may be able to live with another dog in the future.
Hanna hasn’t gotten out much lately, and will need help with her manners and socialization. She is reactive to other dogs but once her confidence in things outside of the home is built up, she would be fine as long as introductions are planned properly. She barks when strangers are at the door, but responds well to correction, and is food motivated to behave.
She loves her people and is very silly and playful. Her favorite toys ever are tennis balls. She needs some serious leash manners however, and her new family will be required to attend obedience training with her. She knows basic obedience but has a ways to go.
Hanna’s ideal family will be one that is willing to guide her the rest of the way with training, and help her with socialization and experiencing new things and people. She has great potential!
Hanna is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She would just love a new family to take her out and show her all of the wonderful things in the world!
