Meet Ramsis

Mar 9, 2014 - Ramsis has been adopted to a family with an 11 year old son. They have been waiting for the right cat for a long time and he is going to a great home. He will be the only cat in the home, which will suit him perfectly because Ramsis did not like to share his 'people' with any other cat. This wonderful cat has been a stray for a long time, forced to fight for shelter and food. Then a CRN volunteer rescued him and thrived in the foster home. He was happy to be treated kindly, and became beautiful, healthy and as playful as a kitten. When he learned to trust people again he was a very friendly cat who ran to the door to greet visitors. We know his adopters will really enjoy their new pet and vice versa.

This is his story:-) Ramsis is a handsome black and white Tuxedo. His estimated date of birth is March 2011. His nickname is Bow-Tie, because of a black bow-tie below a perfectly white chin.

Ramsis was a stray in an area where many people did not like cats on their property. Luckily he found his way to a CRN volunteer's home, where he was kept safe and fed. While waiting for a foster home, he remained outside near the home, where he showed his appreciation for the person's kindness by purring loudly and running towards him whenever he came home. Ramsis desperately wanted to be an indoor cat. This delightful little fella is so affectionate that he would insist on a petting session prior to being fed by his caregiver.

Upon arriving at his foster's home, he quickly scouted around, curled around his new foster's legs, dropped to the floor on his side, as if to say, 'I'm finally home'.

The foster parent writes, "Ramsis is very affectionate and likes being picked up and handled. He is always purring, rubbing his face against me, and sleeps with me. He likes getting picked up and stroked before eating. He likes looking out the window. Although not high-energy, he's not a couch potato either. He would do well with little kids, just because he's so friendly and calm.

Although docile and warm with all people, he is quite the opposite with other cats. His life on the street taught him to defend himself and he should be adopted into a one cat family. He seems to be OK with dogs though. He will make a great addition to a loving family and will no doubt show his gratitude, forever.

Ramsis has been vetted and tested negative for FIV and Leukemia.

Please give Ramsis a second chance by making him a member of your family. You will not regret it.
