Chloe Poodle & Boston Terrier Mix Shelbyville, IN

Welcome to Petfinder, the greatest website to find your next furry friend.  This is Chloe who was relinquished to the animal shelter yesterday, August 27th.  Her owners were sad about giving her up but said that they couldn't afford a ticket and were warned that if their dog was running loose or in the trash at the mobile home park where they lived, then they would receive one.  Chloe is pretty depressed about the entire situation.  She has the big black eyes of a Boston Terrier and the no shedding of a Poodle.  Her mother was actually the Boston and her daaddy was the poodle.  The former owner reported that her son has allergies and asthma and that he had no problems with this dog.  Chloe knows the command for sit, is housebroken and crate trained.  She is also great with kids, other dogs and cats.  Because we are so full, she is in a crate :( and this morning after cleaning I took her for a nice walk.  She is still a bit timid, starts to shake and scoots towards the back of her kennel and looks up at you from the tops of her big black eyes.  Not being able to really reach her without climbing into her kennel myself (and I certainly didn't want to stress her out) I just tossed the loop over her head and said "let's go for a walk" with the exciting, high pitch voice that dogs just love - :) - and out she went and off we went!  Sweet Chloe walked around the front of the building, practically stretched out and layed down in the grass and urinated....for....the....longest....time.  Bless her heart, she held it in the wire crate that entire time (since yesterday).    Anyway, Chloe is a thin dog that stands about as tall as a poodle, she is actually built more like one and her hair is a wavy, soft texture.  Chloe's adoption fee of $83.00 covers the of her spay surgery, rabies and booster vaccination, Home Again Microchip, registration, wormer and capstar.  Don't forget the shelter is closed Saturday, August 31 and Monday, September 2.  We certainly can't let her sit in a wire crate all through the Labor Day weekend, can we?  We just need a few adoptions so that she can have a kennel and the sweet hound under the carport can also come in.  Yes, we are that full.  Questions?  Email me at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call us at 317-392-5127.  Have a safe Labor Day weekend, chris
