Wynter Australian Shepherd Colorado Springs, CO

Wynter is an exceptional almost 2 year old Aussie. He is happy, energetic, but not obscessive, very intelligent and eager to please and has excellent manners. Wynter is good with other dogs, cats and livestock, and travels well and likes to ride in the car.


 Wynter's has been to the animal shelter several times. Second Chance claimed him the last two times. The first time he was less than a year old- but was an amazing dog even then. At that time he was in pretty good shape tho thin. We put him up for adoption, but shortly after were contacted by owner who provided pictures validating their ownership, so he was returned to them. At that meeting to return Wynter, he was submissive and hid behind his foster mom rather than greet the owner and the kids who were supposedly devastaed by his loss,who incidentally,  never looked up from their video game.  Foster mom was very distraught knowing that while they were his owners, he did not want to go with them. Wynter showed up at the pound again and he is Second Chance dog now, no obligation to return him to his owner as they failed to claim him from the pound.


Wynter is not a wanderer, we think he just did not want to be with that family and found a way to leave. His foster mom now has no fenced area and he hangs around the house of his own choosing, He plays with the puppies and swims in the canal and comes reliably whenever called.  He truly is an exceptional dog and now has a second chance at his OWN forever home.


SUPER DUPER guy! He is headed to the vet today for checkup, and test. but we dont look for any problems. He is thin now, but nothing that regular meals wont fix. Moderate energy level, stays fenced/dog run. Very good indoors and sleeps in a crate at night. He needs a SUPER DUPER home.
