Meet Robert

Robert was living with a family who was going through a divorce. That family found Robert another home to live in and hopefully have a nice quiet life. The new family was told Robert had sprained his leg. After a visit to the vets office, he was found to have bi-lateral elbow dysplasia.
Robert is only 1 1/2 years old. He had surgery and the vet conducted a arthroscopically and cleaned out his elbows. He has been getting adequan injections monthly to give him a little cushioning in those elbows.

You would never know he had anything "wrong", as he plays like any other golden. He loves his foster canine friends. In true golden style he bounces outside playing with anything he can find to put in his mouth. He is a good boy in his foster home and does not chew inappropriately and is housebroken. He would benefit from an obedience class to improve his leash manners.

Down the road, Robert could benefit from water therapy. In fact, his perfect home would have an pool or pond where he can swim. Currently he is not on any pain pills or anti inflammatory medication. His foster gives him his monthly Adequan injections and supplements his diet with fish oil and glucosamine. His foster can update you on what he might need down the road, but he will need these injections monthly and a very good quality diet, kept at an ideal weight. A home without lots of steps upstairs would be good for Robert and without small children who might hang on him. If you are interested in adopting Robert and can meet his qualifications, please apply today!

We are still collecting money to help pay for Robert's surgery and medical care expenses. We know we have been asking for a lot of help lately financially and appreciate your help greatly. It is the ONLY way we can continue our rescue as our adoption fees really just barely pay for an adoption with out these extra medical issues. If you can help us with Robert's expenses, we THANK YOU and please see his page on our website at www.gr-rescue.org We'll list your name right on that page.
