Rose Pit Bull Terrier Los Angeles, CA

Rose is a beautiful little flower we rescued from the San Pedro shelter three years ago. She is about 7-8 years old and weighs a very petite 45lbs. Rose needs a calm, firm pack leader, male or female, that she can trust and look up to; like most dogs of her breed, she loves to be given direction from her human and needs structure and boundaries- basically, she would be happiest with a job to do! We feel that she needs to have another dog in her life, as she thrives with the company and stimulation provided by her furry friends. In fact, Rose plays well with other dogs of all sizes but if she were to share her home with another dog, she would prefer a brother (or possibly other non-dominant females). She has spent the last few years in an environment with children and is great with them- patient and loves to be able to play. She is low maintenance, low energy and an overall content, happy girl. She is fine with being touched, petted and picked up, as she is just a big cuddler. The quieter the environment, the less anxiety she tends to have. She loves to chill out in the sun, so a backyard would be a plus, and she also enjoys short walks (she gets tired pretty easily).

Rose is fully trained by a professional trainer who will give a free lesson to her adopter, as well as ongoing support if needed. Rose's ideal new family will have had pit bull experience before and understands the sensitive nature of this breed.
