Darcie - ADOPTION PENDING Cairn Terrier & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Wooster, OH

Darling little Darcie came to us from a rural Ohio shelter where her options were few. She has since stolen the heart of everyone she meets.  Darcie is well behaved (we are working on jumping up and licking), smart, energetic, very engaging and loves everyone.  


Darcie weighs about 7.5 pounds but should probably weigh a pound or so more.  Even though she is small she doesn't seem like a small dog.  She has longer legs and a sturdier build.  Her coat looks wiry but is actually soft and is starting to part in the middle like a Yorkie coat. We feel that she will probably need to be kept groomed.  She came to us sparsely coated so we're not sure what the finished product will be.  She does not appear to shed or sheds very little. 


Darcie loves to play with toys (check out her video!), good with other dogs, does not live with cats but was fine with them at the vet's office and would love older kids to play with.  She is crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash and enjoys riding in the car.  She would love a family that has a lot of time for their dog as she is very playful and follows her foster mom everywhere.  She will need someone that works from home, works very part time or is retired.


Darcie is a devoted little companion, bonds quickly and wants to please.  She will need a fenced yard where she can run and still be safe and to cuddle in bed at night.  This is a fun, happy and smart little dog looking for that forever home.
