Crusoe Silky Terrier & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Lewisburg, TN

We believe Crusoe to be the same dog that was supposedly collected by his owner while the ACO was trying to catch him at a cemetery in Belfast yesterday morning. However he was found wandering late yesterday afternoon on Hoyt Ledford Rd in Petersburg! Hence the name! Appears to be a silky terrier as he is larger than a yorkie.  Sweet but very timid male who needs to be neutered!


Crusoe was dropped off on 7/11/13 Adoption date is 7/15/13. Available for rescue 7/16/13 Expected Euthanize date is 7/31/13


 


By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption. Rescues are allowed to pull dogs on the day after they are put up for adoption. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption, and on the 6th day is available to rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility.  There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available.


The current adoption fee is $71 which includes the dogs spay or neuter, Rabies vaccination, and Distemper/Parvo vaccination at a local vet. .  Dogs are given 2 weeks to find a new home and due to limited space and resources are given a two week euthanasia date on intake.
