Lola Shih Tzu & Boxer Mix Murray, KY

Meet Lola!  This precious little girl is a Shih-tzu/Boxer mix.  She is 10 weeks old and will be a medium to large dog when she is fully grown.  Lola weighs almost 10 pounds.  We are not sure exactly how large she will be, but our best guess is between 30-50 pounds.  Lola came in with her brother, Gus, who is also available for adoption.

Gus and Lola's foster mom is working on house training, crate training, and basic obedience so they have a great head start!  They are getting lots of love and socialization as they get ready for new homes.  Puppies require a huge commitment of time and effort to help them be the very best dogs that they can be. 

Lola is very affectionate and LOVES water!  Her favorite place to be is lounging in her foster brother and sisters' large water bowls.  Silly puppy!  She loves to play and adores toys.


 

If you are interested in adopting Lola  or Gus, please review the information below and send us an application.  The adoption donation is $175 which includes up to date vaccines, wormer, flea and tick prevention, and $75 will be refunded to you upon proof of spay/neuter prior to October 27th, 2013.

You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application.


It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.


The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.


All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges, unless otherwise specified.


We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.


If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.


We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.


We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
