Solar American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Verplanck, NY

Meet pretty Solar! She is approximately 1 year old. She was saved from death row after being hit by a car and she wound up at the shelter. She is now fully healed. She was in a temporary foster home living with 7 other dogs and now needs a long term foster or adopter. She's housebroken/crate trained, smart, loves attention, wants to please, great with other dogs, though she is not too fond of cats. She is leery of strangers at first but once she knows you, she bonds quickly. She likes to run and play, likes toys. She noses your hand when you stop petting her and throws her feet at you to get your attention when she wants hugs. She is always wagging her tail. She is very food motivated and will do excellent in training classes, she's very athletic. She likes to lay in the sun. She will sleep on the floor or on the bed, which ever you tell her. She is such a happy girl with a zest for life. She is a go with the flow type of dog, ready to do anything you want. She is excellent in the car and enjoys car rides.
