Shepherd/Black Labrador Retriever Mix: An adopted dog in Memphis, TN

She is terrified of people...a flower waiting to blossom. Godiva needs reassurance and could use someone to understand that people made her this way. She understands that not all people are bad, she just hasn't found that person who sees life as she does and is willing to share their love with her.
She is growing old here. Approximately 7 years old. She's been in a shelter the largest part of her life. She is healthy and weighs 50 lbs or so.
She arrived to us many, many years ago as a terrified stray. She has been with us ever since. She is eager to please and very intelligent. She responds wonderful to other canines and would do best in a home with another canine companion.
