Blaze Domestic Short Hair Wayne, NJ

Hi!  My name is Blaze.  A little while back I found myself in a dire situation.  I was roaming the streets and some kids ganged up on me.  They tried to break my legs and torture me because of the color of my fur.  Luckily, a good samaritan chased the kids away and took me into her care.  She contacted START II to help me and my friend, Bubbles, find a great forever home, as she was unable to provide for us.


When I first arrived at START II, I was terrified.  I wasn't used to being in a cage and around so many cats.  But volunteers worked with me and placed me and Bubbles together.  I was so much happier!  I have fun running around the place and playing with kittens.  Most of all, though, I love following volunteers around.  I just want to be around people so much!  Attention is important to me, so I ask my new forever family to provide me with lots of hugs, kisses, head pets, and cheek scratches.  I am also playful and would like to be in a home where my family enjoys spending time playing with me.  Like I said, I feel comfortable being around my friend, Bubbles.  She's also available for adoption!  Perhaps you would consider adopting both of us together?  It is isn't imperative that you do so, but I figured I throw the question out there!




Blaze is current on his vaccinations, parasite-free, neutered, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. We have scheduled adoption hours on Fridays from 6 pm - 9 pm, Saturdays from 11 am - 6 pm, and on Sundays from 12 am - 6 pm.
