Meet MINNIE!! Losing home to divorce! Purebred Jack Russel..Fully vetted/Healthy/Trained/ LOVES PEOPLE ..needs to be only pup

Minnie is losing her home sadly due to divorce:( She has always been owned by this family and they have taken AMAZING care of her, she will come with all her vet records and full history of her little life:) She has always lived   other dogs, but she seems to be choosey these days..she is happy to play and hang with other pups, but wants to be the only dog who lives in the house (she has gone home 3 times with 3 separate Jacks after great initial interactions..but once in the home they dogs bicker and fight over territory)..she wants to chase and catch cats, NO CATS please..she is VERY FRIENDLY AND LOVING...she is also still very active, she loves to run, play fetch and she LOVES the pool--she has been trained to use the ladder so she won't tear the lining:) Minnie is a total doll and while she is 9..she is a small dog and most likely has another 5 years to give...she would be a great companion for an older person or anyone for that matter! She is MOVE-IN READY..fully trained, healthy and HAPPY! For more info: paw364@yahoo.com
Please read our postings carefully!!!! Our Viewing hours are 3:00 to 4:00 pm daily because we have no one in the office during the day and we are on routine patrol .

There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home we must have a letter from your landlord giving permission to have said animal. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets.

Most our dogs are picked up as strays, we do not have a medical history on most and assume many come in without vaccinations. We only treat emergency medical needs, or basic kennel cough and stool treatment. It will be the responsibility of the new owner to have the dog vaccinated and vet checked.

All our unaltered canines are adopted out with APCP Certificates. A Connecticut resident must pay a $50.00 fee ($45.00 goes to APCP, $5.00 to municipality) at the time of adoption, which entitles the adopter to a vaccination/sterilization voucher good for sixty days. The voucher provides a one-time sterilization fee of $100.00 for a male dog, and $120.00 for a female dog plus two pre-surgical vaccinations coincident with sterilization.

Nonresidents may adopt a pound pet for the $5.00 municipal fee, but are not eligible for program benefits. Pets too young or sick are granted a medical extension by the veterinarian; however, all young animals must be sterilized by six months of age.

If you are interested in adoption please call our office at 203-235-4179 or send us an email to paw364@yahoo.com.
