Danika: ready to roll! Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix Rustburg, VA

Danika appears to be right about a year old, but she has already been a mom and now is ready to declare her independence and be a pet! She was brought in by her owner along with her two 6 week old puppies. They both found homes when they turned 9 weeks old, leaving our gorgeous  Danika at the pound. She was an excellent mom and she is patient with the other puppies who stop at her run to say hello to her. She is also friendly with nearly every other nice adult dog who she meets. She is really alert when we take her walking (she is housetrained!! and she gets so excited and happy when she sees a volunteer coming her way with a leash in hand!) 


Her breed mix is up for debate, but because of her slightly wiry coat, and the interesting color pattern, she quite likely is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix. That, plus her focus on birds that are out and about in the grassy field during walking time, definitely mean she would be an excellent family dog who will also want lots of time with the kids retrieving balls and toys. Don't you want to just snap her up and take her home with you?
