Meet Miss Wooby

Hi, I'm Miss Wooby!! I'm a Dutch mix girl who used to live in a neglectful home, and my former people took me to their vets and told him to put me to sleep because they just didn't want me! I was skin and bones and missing patches of fur, but my wonderful foster mom took me home and nursed me back to health. I gained almost two pounds and I'm now a healthy 5 pound bunny. I'm a happy girl who is just a spay away from being adoptable and having my "Happy Ever After"!

You may have noticed that one of my pictures shows me with a cat. He's one of my two kitty friends here at the foster home. I have a dog friend, too! You see, the other animals here are very well-trained and well-behaved with me and I like them a lot! I'm not sure how I feel about other bunnies. I'm a little territorial, but that may get better after I get spayed. But I love other animals, and I wouldn't mind living with laid-back, well-behaved cats and dogs at all, as long as our play time together is supervised. Oh - and as long as they let me play with their tails and let me boss them around! I'm fearless and very out-going!!

Actually I like to play with all toys, not just cat and dog tails. I enjoy tossing my baby toys and chewing on my chew toys. I don't chew other things though, like baseboards. I have had the run of the apartment my foster mom lives in and I have been very polite!

Another thing I am polite about is my litter box. Even though I haven't been spayed yet I have excellent litter habits. I know where to "go" so don't worry about that! Another thing not to worry about is that I will be spayed before you adopt me. That's being arranged for me!

I am a bit feisty and I can be a little cage-possessive but I think getting spayed will help with that. I'm not sure I would be good with children though so an adult-only home would probably be best for me. But as I said, I would love to have some other animals around!

So how about it? Would you like to have a bunny who will get along with your well-behaved cat or dog? I might be the bunny for you!

And now, a message from Huntsville Friends of Rabbits: For more information on our group please go to: www.huntsvillefriendsofrabbits.com Our adoption policies: The adoption fee is $50 which helps defray the considerable costs of spay/neuter, other veterinary expenses, food, and equipment. All of our rabbits have received a full vet check up and are spayed/neutered. We adopt only to indoor homes, and prefer adult-only homes. We do not adopt rabbits as pets for children. We consider homes with older children, dogs or ferrets on a case-by-case basis. If you are over 21 and have the time, energy, love and financial resources to care for a rabbit (not to mention a good sense of humor!) we would be happy to talk to you about adopting one of our fabulous foster bunnies! Please email us at huntsvillebunnies@hotmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, including why you would like a bunny and your previous experience with rabbits (if any). Please include your phone number so we may call you about the adoption. Please note we are a little picky – we love these bunnies and since they have already been through the shelter once we want to make sure they have a great home the second time around! We do screen applicants carefully, as well as require a home visit. We adopt only within a five hour drive of Huntsville, AL.
