URGENT!! Shaggy has been waiting way too long for his forever home.

Hi there! My name is Shaggy and I am a super special pup waiting for my big break in life. I'm a true Heinz 57, a mix of dachshund, shepherd and who knows what, and am just over 1 year old. I am full grown at 45 pounds. I'm deaf, but that doesn't stop me one bit. I'm neutered, up to date on shots and housebroken. I am looking for a loving, dog saavy home.

Before the nice people at Pet Rescue saved me, I went from one home to another because no one knew that I was deaf and could not hear them. Now I am in a foster home with other dogs, but can't wait to be the center of someone's universe, their only pet. I just love to be with me people and want nothing more than to just cuddle up with you and roll over for belly rubs. I may be able to share my home with another dog, although I do like to keep my food and toys for myself. I prefer not to share them. No cats for me, as I will chase them and not stop.

I love car rides and looking out the window. I like to go for walks and run and play in the yard. A fenced yard is REQUIRED for me. I am very food motivated and would be extremely responsive to learning and special sign language training.
