Axel Husky White Heath, IL

Hey Everyone. My name is Axel. I'm a very sweet, timid baby boy. I'm about 12 weeks old, but am growing fast, so my mommy thinks I'm going to be a big boy when I'm all grown up! I'm very timid, and it takes me a little bit to trust. Once I trust you though, I get very attached. I like other dogs, but just not too many. And no super crazy dogs. My best friend right now is a senior toy poodle, Peaches. You can see her in the picture with me. She has seizures every day and whenever she does, I'm always sure to lay next to her and hold her until she stops seizing. My rescue mommy said it makes Peaches feel better when I'm there to help her. I was abandoned in KY and found wandering in the country, even though I was just a little baby. I was taken to "The Shelter".... which is a scary place. I was happy to have food, but the other dogs there weren't happy. They would stay for a while and just as I was making friends, someone would come get them and they'd disappear and I'd never see them again. I pretended they were adopted... but I know better. Scary people would come look in my pen and whisper and I didn't know what they were saying. But then some nice volunteers called their friend who lives in IL. This lady said she would love to have me live with her! So... I came to IL to live with her at the rescue. I am healthy and have blankets and toys and food and medicines and other doggies to play with... but I'm still sad. I need a forever family who will always love me. I promise to be the best boy and love you for ever and ever and ever. Will you love me? I'm healthy and all utd on shots. I'm microchipped, and I've had medicines to get rid of nasty bugs in my coat and in my belly. My rescue mommy is helping me learn to walk on a leash and where to potty. She says I'm doing a great job!! II will be available to go home on May 11, 2013, but we are accepting applications now.
