Meet Slim in IN

Age:  8 years old
Sex: male
Size: 11 pounds

Adoption fee: $250
Contact Email: clancy20@yahoo.com

Health: Slim is in good health. He has been neutered, is HW- and on preventative, he's UTD on vaccinations and has had a complete dental cleaning resulting in numerous teeth being removed. He has only 5 teeth so he needs a soft food diet.

My Story: Slim came into rescue from a shelter that told us he was surrendered by his owner however, we think the owner was a puppy mill or backyard breeder because Slim has a tendency to walk in circles and pace which indicate he may have spent a lot of time in a cage or pen of some kind. He does not know what doggie treats are and doesn't take food from your hand.  He is a very sweet and gentle guy and he is learning a lot of new things in his new life as a pet. The most surprising thing we have discovered about Slim is that he loves to play with toys. He will need a patient and understanding forever friend who will allow him time to adjust to his new role and gently teach him things like house training and how to walk on a leash. Are you Slim's new best friend?

My Ideal Home: Slim would love to have a fenced yard and another small friendly dog to play with, and to learn from.  Slim has not been cat tested yet.

Adoption Process: To adopt a Chin from JCCARE, start by filling out the application found on our website at www.japanesechinrescue.org. The application is under the Forms menu.

If you aren’t ready to adopt yet but would like to help this dog, please click on the purple SPONSOR ME button above the name. Your donation will help us to pay for the care of this dog until he/she finds a furever home.

JCCARE also maintains the lives of many senior and special needs Chin in our “Sanctuary” program. These dogs are not listed on petfinder, as their health issues make them unlikely to ever be adopted. If you are a lover of the breed, could you please consider sponsoring one of our seniors? You can find their pictures and stories under OUR CHIN on our web site: www.japanesechinrescue.org
