Velvet was one year old on 1-19-14 and was given her name due to the color and softness of her fur.
Velvet loves water and thoroughly enjoys the wading pools.
Weather permitting.
It would be ideal if her new home included access to water for swimming.
She also likes to romp in the rain.
She is a very receptive dog and enjoys being with both the other dogs at the shelter and volunteers and visitors.
Velvet is a happy and healthy dog who loves attention but will entertain herself for hours.
She thoroughly enjoys any attention that comes her way.
Head rubs are at the top of her favorites list.
Velvet has had three distemper combo vaccinations, two bordetella vaccinations and a one year rabies vaccination.
She has been wormed and is parasite free, inside and out.
Heartgard is administered monthly.
Velvet is microchipped and spayed.
Her main diet is dry Eukanuba chow with a healthy helping of treats daily.
Raw carrots are a healthy treat all puppies and dogs enjoy.
Squeaky toys, plush toys, American made rawhide and huge Merrick knuckle bones are everyone's favorites.
A visible, secure, fenced yard is required.
