Meet Mattie
If you need a small companion, Mattie is your girl. She has a beautiful lab head with an all-black coat and the short legs of a schipperke. She is about 1 year old and weighs 30 pounds. When Mattie came into the shelter, she would not even walk on a leash or allow petting, but she has come around, is very excited to interact with us and be petted and loved, and has even attended an adoption event. She likes to go for walks and get plenty of attention. She loves to play with other dogs and is going to make a wonderful pet once she gains your trust. She has been lucky enough be be in foster care and is currently with a family with children. But be prepared to meet a shy girl and spend some time sitting with her and looking into those beautiful brown eyes!
