Benjamin Rabbit Flemish Giant Warwick, RI

Benjamin is a sweet, goofy boy with tons of personality! Everyone who meets him loves him - he loves treats and pets and just about any kind  of attention. He's very laid back and curious, and can handle almost any situation. We also think he would make a great boding candidate. Benjamin's first owner kept him in a dirty cage so small he could barely move, and reportedly threw him out into the hall one day when he had an accident. Someone witnessed this and rescued Ben, but they were unable to keep him. He had severe urine scald and matting on  his back end from the filthy cage - his skin is all healed, but he is still regrowing his hair (so his tail and bum are a little sparse). Here's the thing with Ben - we know he is at least 5 months old, and he doesn't appear any older than 1 year. We also know that he is at least part Flemish Giant - but only time will tell how much! This big boy is already over 7lbs (and he is very underweight for his size) - he may be almost done growing, or may have a few more pounds to pack on! Big buns make great companions, and Benjamin is no exception! He is already great with his litter box, and an excellent hay eater. He will be neutered next week, and will be available to go home after that. While Ben is here, he will be working as an Adoptable Education Pet, visiting with school groups through our Humane Education department (he's that great).
