Slim Shady Chihuahua & Miniature Pinscher Mix Grover Beach, CA

Slim Shady, est. birthday 10/2012.....He too got lucky and went to stay with our wonderful foster mom Pam and following is Pam’s update. To add a little information, Shady was adopted from us as a puppy and returned because the children in the home were mistreating him, so we have always wondered how he would do with children going forward. Here’s what Pam says:
Meet Slim Shady, he really lives up to his name. He is one of the most entertaining pups in our home! He does have a little growl when playing and he thinks he is tough but he’s not. He is a playful and loving dog! He is ****completely house trained***** and leash trained. He gets along with big and small dogs. He might give a big dog a growl but it only last a few seconds and then he decides he can play with them and have lots of fun! He loves being around people , wherever you are, Shady is sure to be right there somewhere near. We have a kitten and seems that he ****loves this kitten like its his!**** He loves to sit behind me and not much of a kisser ....unless you ask! I like to ask and he always gives me kisses!! We are still looking to see how he does around children and I have had different age children over and he does not seem nervous and has not even growled at them. I will continue to have children over and keep him around children incase you fall in love with this handsome guy and have children! I truly see him fitting in very quick to a new home, he adjusts very fast and knows basic commands. He is very smart and willing to learn, a training treat works great with him on new commands! Adoption fee is $100. (Adoption fee at the event is payable in cash or PAYPAL only, no credit cards or checks. You will also need to bring a VALID STATE ISSUED PICTURE ID). This dog has been spayed or neutered, wormed and up to date with vaccinations (that are age appropriate) and microchipped. We strongly recommend after adopting a dog, it be taken to your vet for a general health exam and fecal screening to make sure they are clear of all parasites. While we do provide medical care for these items, sometimes in a kennel environment, something can go undetected. Having your new pet screened will help ensure their health once you take them home. That is another reason we suggest activating the free insurance for the first month.

PAYMENT AT ADOPTION EVENT IS CASH OR PAYPAL ONLY Don't want to wait for the next adoption event? We welcome you to make the drive to Lemoore, but you MUST contact us to make an appointment.

We would also like to expressly state that all mixed breeds are listed with an educated guess based on the physical characteristics that we see. Generally we don’t have both parents and never know the exact mix of many puppies nor any dogs we pull from the high kill shelters. Unless we state purebred, we do not guarantee breed.

once complete, return the application to stonecliffeadoption@gmail.com. Please be patient for a response, we are all volunteers with other responsibilities, but we try to respond as quickly as possible. If you are notified you are approved, you may put down a non-refundable $50 deposit to hold the dog for you at the next adoption event for the first hour of the event only. If you meet the dog and adopt, the deposit is put towards the adoption fee, if you don't show up or don't adopt the dog it is non-refundable.

Stonecliffe Animal Rescue is also looking for foster homes. Please contact us for more information. Applicants for adoption are always given first priority, but any of our dogs without homes may enter a foster home with approval and provided the dog and foster are a good match.
